Watersports in Ocean City, Maryland

If you are looking for a fantastic place to visit for a short break, right on the waterfront with plenty to see and do then you can’t go wrong with a stay in Ocean City, Maryland.  We can offer miles of beaches, a classic, wooden boardwalk which is lined with waterfront restaurants, shops and hotels, theme parks and family attractions not to mention plenty of opportunity to engage in water sports.  The waters surrounding Ocean City are popular year round with activities for all levels of engagement and ability.  Whether you want to have a leisurely day out and enjoy a boat tour around the coastal bays or you want to really get active and get that adrenaline going, there are plenty of different options to choose from.

Shark’s Cove Marina

Honorable mention has to go to Shark’s Cove Marina which offers the ideal option for a more relaxing day on the waters; Pontoon boats which can seat up to 10 people and can be used for fishing, crabbing or just cruising along the water.  You can hire the boats for two hours, half a day (four hours) or a full day (eight hours).  Shark’s Cove also offer kayaking and paddle board rental, banana boat rides and parasailing if you are feeling a little more adventurous as well.

Advanced Marina

Just steps from the doorstep of the Grand Hotel, hop aboard the Coastal Highway Beach Bus and head down to Advanced Marina.  There are a variety of boats available for hire here include waverunners, pontoon and ski boats as well as jet ski rentals.  If you want to enjoy some fishing but haven’t come prepared then you can also hire everything you would need for the day such as rods, bait, tackle and tow tubes.

OC Parasail

If you like your water sports a little more active the OC Parasail is the perfect place.  You get to choose the height and the veteran staff at OC Parasail will take you out on the waters.  Just 12 minutes from the waterside hotels via the Coastal Highway Beach Bus.

Top Gun Water Sports

Top Gun Water Sports offer five different locations in the Ocean City area so you can easily reach one of their rental offices from wherever you have booked to stay.  They can boast the largest waverunner rental fleet on the East Coast and have more than 60 jet skis available for hire, which each able to hold up to 3 passengers and reaching 55mph.
