Worcester County Library – The Ocean City Branch

‘Books are just the beginning’ and at the Worcester County Library- Ocean City Branch, they take that seriously! Open every day except for Sunday, this library is about more than just discovering your next read! This branch as an entire program of exciting events! From make your own race car to workshops with independent writers, the Ocean City location has something for every budding reader and book lover!

If you’re staying at an Ocean City hotel the library is always just a short commute away! The Coastal Highway Beach Bus travels along the entire stretch of coastal highway, and you can ride for just $3 a day! From the Grand Hotel, you only have a 3-minute way to the nearest transit station, and then a 25-minute bus trip to the library, filled with views of the surrounding coast to keep you occupied as you travel to begin your next literary adventure.

After exploring the library, there are a number of places nearby to visit before traveling back down the coast. South of the library you have Blue Fish, which offers Japanese and sushi-inspired cuisine, Trattoria Lombardi’s has some of the best Italian on the coast, and Liquid Assets which offers causal dining with American classics alongside their fine wine and craft beer store. Head North for a Denny’s with legendary pancakes and classic American favorites to be enjoyed.

Looking to indulge in some retail therapy? Visit Gold Coast Mall for a selection of stores, including clothing, gifts, specialty items and beauty services. North of Gold Coast Mall you will find the Ocean City Squre Shopping Centre, and within walking distance of the library is Roses for all of your discounted clothing, homeware, beauty, toys and many more!

The Art League of Ocean City is an Ocean City ‘diamond in the rough’ which features the works of local artists. Northside Park is also a favorite attraction, as well as Fox Gold Coast Theatre, and of course, the Ocean City Beach!
